Thread: Tsudo Cold Air Intake

It's at NOPI.com for like 70 bucks and I was wondering if it's any good? The reason I ask is because some people say an intake is just a pipe with a filter so the brand doesn't matter, but then again others say it does. What do you guys think? If it doesn't make a difference I'd like to save some greenbacks and get this one. Thanks to any responses.

Some will say: You get what you pay for.

Others might say: No way man, get an AEM CAI and you will have 1.00000009 more HP!

I personally dont think it matters when it comes to intakes, but I would prefer a CAI though.

It is basically just a larger pipe with a filter..

Thats basically all it is. Something like that would be alright as long as it has a good filter like a K&N. There are differences between the system your looking at and an AEM CIA (technically the best intake you can get) because something like the AEM has special coatings and other things to control heat and maximize airflow. Whatever you get, just make sure it has a K&N.

Plus AEM CAI has the CARB legal sticker on the pipe which is a big plus on their intake making it smog legal.

I owe Nameless and 92TypeR for the install on mine ;)

It's all about the safeway parking lot install :D

If you do want the AEM CAI, I bought mine from the site @ the bottom of the forum.

Any CAI, Comptech Icebox, J's Racing, Mugen induction...they all range from 200-500. But they all add between 4-6 whp. Does a 1-2 whp justify the cost? If so, go all out.
