    2010 Dodge Ram 1500
    1982 Honda GL1100 Naked/Bobber Project
I came into this world naked, screaming and covered in someone else's blood. I plan on leaving the same way.

I just had my umbrella set up in my living room.

You find acne pretty quick in hard light.

something alittle different for todays picture. i had a friend help me out with twilight portraits. i was messing around with the manual mode on my camera trying to under expose the background by a couple of stops and let the flash bring light to the subject. also shooting guys is weird.

Your not doing this model are you jk

The color came out pretty good I think and I like the effect of the under exposedness of the background.
I think the picture would be boring without it honestly

I tried doing a pitch black background shot with a flash behind me. Didn't work so well. Did you adjust shutter or aperature?

both. i shot in manual. If it's already dark theres not much the flash is going to do unless it's bounced off something behind you. The light fall off will be really fast and only light a small area behind you unless you have some serious power lighting up the background. If you shoot with some light still left in the sky you can still get some kind of background still left over. Im not sure if you were shooting outside or indoors with a black backdrop? if it was indoors with a backdrop i would have to change what i said.

if you were shooting with a backdrop and placed the flash behind you, your going to create a silhouette type setting and nothing in the foreground would be exposed.

I was double flashing it. Going to try and use the umbrella in the front shoot through, and the bare flash behind.

    Noise reduction much?

The bottom right corner looks like it was painted with pastels.

kinda meh shot but i wanted to practice my strobist stuff. I wanted to force myself to mess around with flash power on manual so i don't have to use ttl all the time

sb-800 on camera set as a master in ttl mode. sb-600 hand held on the right of the camera pointed toward the ground in manual mode with 1/32 power. triggered with nikon cls

Love the image... I would have cropped it a bit different though
It's no different than men and maggots or wolvs fighting dragons. Or men riding dragons throwing wolfs at maggots... We can team up, you and I. We will rise out of the ground ourselves. We'll build our own tripod but ours will have 4 legs.

i hardly ever crop. i do all my framing in camera. is it the right way? nope but i like all my pictures to be somewhat the same size. this shot has alot of negative space though.
