If i have Titanium valves, titanium retainers, and stiffer valve springs, how high can i safely set the redline? (this all on a GSR)

You should be able to handle 8500-9000rpm on the heads, but like Hybrid Hatch stated, what's done to the lower end? And do you have an upgraded ignition that can fire efficently such as an MSD Ignition? What about your ECU have you had it reprogrammed to take the rev limiter out?

What can you do to the bottom end?

Titanium valves? wow ($$$)

Just get Integra Type-R valves, they are light enough..if u want lighter u can try Ferrea but i think ITR would suffice...

Titanium retainers, that's supposedly good for approx. 200 more rpm...BUT, Ti is more brittle and therefore requires more maintenance (more frequent replacement)

Valvetrain - this depends on what cams you are planning to purcahse. every cam has a duration and lift spec, and u must pay attention to those specs in order to chooose an appropriate valvetrain...

the ITR valvetrain would suffice for mild cams, such as ITR, CTR, Toda A, Spoon, Jun type 1, skunks 2 stage 1, and the lower crower stage cams...

if u want something more aggressive, integra type-r intake outer valve springs on both the intake side, and exhaust side with portflow stiffened inner valvesprings should be good enough for ~ 12.0 mm of lift, which would then let u run Toda B's, Jun type 2 , and all the crower cams...

if u want something really aggressive, such as Toda Spec C's, JUN 2's, Skunk stage 2 etc or custom high lift cams, then u might want to try the valvesprings recommended by the manufacturer...aka Toda Springs for Toda Cams, Jun springs for JUN cams...

altho toda springs are capable of handling the most lift out of all most valve springs...

BTW: mugen valvesprings = itr valvesprings, but 5000000 billion dollars more because its mugen..so dont waste ur money on that

as far as "setting" redline, its relative to where the cams you choose make peak power...for instance, toda spec A's are supposed to peak near stock ITR peak (approx 8,000 rpm)...in this case u wouldnt' need to buy toda valve springs, just itr...

but toda spec C's can make power all the way up to and past 9,000 rpm...in this case, u might want to choose a toda valvetrain.

get it?

as far as bottom end...forged (ligthweight) rods, balanced crank etc...

the idea here is reduction of moving mass

You can get after market pistons and rods.If you want to go all out get the engine block resleeved and have your new internals balanced.
