![]() ok heres the deal, i want to put some money into my baby. it already has a lot of work into it but it needs more. so far i have $1500 saved for this project and im sellin the bimmer for $3000obo and thats goin straight in too. also taxes are comin soon. so im gonna have about $5000 total. i can spend it all at once or just buy some stuff. ive been considering not doin it myself for once. i can do it but i just dont seem to find the time. i have time but i just get out of work and want to hae fun so i go out. so this is why i havent been payin any attention to it. it has a good powerplant. it has a rebuilt 350 turbo tranny. it needs a rear-end, suspension, and paint. body work is basically done but it needs a couple details taken care of. already has power brakes with disks up front. interior is basically done with the exemption of the instrument panel and the headliner. shifting is still done on the tree. i would like a shifter on the floor. electrical is still dinosaur era. so what i was thinkin is i know a guy that does old skools. i can hand him the car and have him do the rear end, suspension and electrical rewire. i know some dudes in a shop that can do the body work and paint. i still dont know what color i can do it. i want something tasteful but custom. two tone maybe. i dont know just something tight. i also have the original rally wheels with the middle cap and the beauty ring. i want to color match the rims too for when i wanna show it. but im gonna keep the centerlines for driving. im most likely gonna go with this but i feel like im missing something... i need ideas thoughts and questions.

If your guys can do a GOOD job for fairly cheap...just take it to them. It will get done quicker with less pain on your end. I love working on them but if you don't have the time, three years from now it will still look like she does now. I've been working on my 78 chevy c-20 for a year and there isn't that much work done yet
Wiring isn't too bad if you want to save some dough. Look into Painless Wiring, they have complete sets that are color coded and ready to put in. As for color go a dark cherry with a shit load of clear so it has a real deep look. If you want two tone, paint the roof black. Just my .02 though.....you'll feel better and like it more if you do it yourself ![]()
