Question 94 Prelude Si ABS problem.

Hi guys I have a 94 Prelude 2.3L , I have a ABS problem thats kinda strange.
When I start the car the ABS light comes on normaly, then after a while it shuts off normaly. When I start to drive and it reaches about 10-15 mph the light comes on, I don't even need to brake just driving will trigger it . The light will reset every time you restart the car. I have checked all fuses and relays, and ohmed out all the wiring checks out o.k. I think it may be the wheel sensor (pulser) but I'm not sure please if anyone has a clue let me have your two sense. I'm a Airframe & Powerplant mechanic so feel free too be as technical as you like thanks in advance Ralph.

i had the exact same car but 93 and the abs light would occassionally come on for no reason. I would stop the car and restart it and it would go away. It only did this a couple of times a year though. I never found out what it was but I've read it happening to others as well. One thing's for sure though, while the light is on the abs is not working.

Wink Mr Zaw Tun

Hi there,

I have an experience like this and what I have learn from this is firstly you should check with the computer and sometimes problem can occur from ABS motor. Because I have a Prelude 1989 model with same problem but my problem is not only the ABS light came out but also noise from motor always came out so I have to change the motor assembly. But some vehicles you can only change the washer cap near motor then you can overcome that problem.
These are my experiences and I would like to share with you guys.

Zaw.
