If you saw the commercials back in '88-'89 for the Isuzu Impulse you may remember "Joe Isuzu" making that too absurd to be false claim about the turbo version of this car.
Not having previously seen the ad I bought the non-turbo impulse in '88 and still have it today. It is still my daily driver and it has never left me stranded. During those 21 years I have only seen two or three others other than net pics and I'm getting really curious as to how rare these have become? The Impulses up to '89 were refered to by thier enthusiests as "JR's, which were the last of the RWD models. Does anyone here have a feel for what has happened? Were there really only a few sold or are they all dead now? Thanks |

I've seen a few up here, but not many. I think they had a tendency to rust pretty fast.

I'll vouch for the aftermarket support. I would often joke that the motor oil was a dealer-only part. But since I live in Sacramento where it's fairly dry and no snow I didn't know about the rust problem.
