Default Problem with my 2008 Gold Wing

I have a problem I have told the dealership service dept about but nothing has been done. My 2008 Gold Wing has jumped out of OD gear into the lower gear and jumped out with a loud banging at times. Now when it is in OD and I goose it or resume cruise it feels like it slips (maybe on the drum) into gear. I am concerned about this since I feel it could lock up at high speeds and create a disaster. I feel this is a warranty problem since the bike is under warranty. I feel I am more concerned than the dealership about this.I have has all the services done on time and maintained my bike well. Silas Troy 386-935-1919

That sounds like trouble Siias, and you might have to talk a little louder to the dealer. Just off-hand, I would suspect a bent shift fork if it is consistently jumping out of gear. Good luck craig

Default Goldwings

Yeah, I've had a Wing for a few years. Bought a pre-owned '85 GL1200 I. Worked on them as a mechanic and like 'em a lot, especially the 1200"s. Also like my '03 Civic LX.
Cheers

Sorry Homey, some bikes of dis size have Auto's, and den I saw OD and I thoughts da same.

Like I said, Warranty, sounds liek a physical problem whit da tranny and I doubt you abused it. I had a car once dat kept kicking out of the gear and it wuz da hub and sleeve. Sounds like a physical issue, just bring it to da dealer.

word.
