Default 2005 Civic front nois issue

    Hi All,
I have a 2005 Civic (Value model I believe) 2 door Coupe, 196,000 miles. Approximately 20,000 miles on front tires. I put abut 8,500 miles per year on this car. I recently have noticed a "new" noise that seems to be coming from the left front. More of a "sing" than a "growl" that is very prominent around 50mph. It doesn't change when I turn right or left or put the tranny in neutral while moving. Applying the brakes doesn't change it either. It runs and shifts perfect. My preliminary thought is wheel bearing but before I do that, I am going to rotate the tires and see if that makes a difference. I will also check the tires closer the see if there is abnormal wear or cupping. I am also thinking ( with much hesitation) that it might be the transmission out put shaft bearing . Is there a way to check that? It's a great little car that is very dependable but I have to admit, it has always been a bit noisy down the road.
    Any thoughts are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mark

Happened to my car. It turned out to be an issue with the engine mount.
