    Default Cam Chain Replacement

New here, this is my first post, so please be kind.

I'm in the middle of replacing the cam chain on my 2006 Honda Accord (4 cylinder). I noticed 2 odd things about my car. First it doesn't have a crankshaft position sensor.

Second I couldn't remove one of the chain case bolts after it was completely unscrewed. There wasn't enough space between the chain case and the inner fender. This bolt is not an M6 bolt like the other 14 bolts. It is similar to the M10 bolts used on the side engine bracket.

    Anyone else been through this?

    Thanks,
    Paul

You will need the crankshaft position sensor.

Remove the tire and engine splash shield and take a good look and make sure all screws from the sides, 3 from the bottom and at least 2 in the center are removed. Center ones are VVT solenoid screw and there is one above it which you can't see. Case may also be stuck due to the hondabond so try to pry out the case gently.
