ProCharged 478ci Big Block Chevy

A video from the shop I used to work at. Their latest project is a 478ci BBC, Merlin block, SDCE ported heads, SDCE Sheetmetal intake, and an F2 ProCharger. 600hp N/A at 5800rpm, and they are up to 1075hp now at 6200 with the blower. Scott is in the process of changing the blower pulley to have less boost before turning the engine any higher. Shooting for 900-1000 for now at 6500-7000.

I'm planning a build of a 383 stroker w/ vortech supercharger blow thru for my 1980 project Firebird Formula. Gonna get the body all done and hopefully prepped and primed this spring and then gonna jump at building the engine just before summer. Gonna be shooting for 500-600 crank horsepower out of it. Should be fun. Ill make a post down the road for the build once it gets nicer out.

Nice, if you need a carb or any parts (they are a ProCharger dealer) shoot Scott an e-mail at SDCE, he has been doing blow-through for 15years, longer than anyone I know.

god y a 383 stroker.. be original do something no one ever does.. so people will know some thought went into the build and not just coping others builds...
like my vettte.. stock is a 350. but is now a 357.. procharged and just got my new f1c charger in.. and hoping to push a lil over 1000. with a few mor mods.. but to each there own.. i also have a psc1 procharger left if u want to buy it

Meh, I've never done a 383, so I wanna build one. Whats wrong with that? Besides you don't see too many 383 blow through setups running around, especially here in Iowa. Plus its a practical engine to get more horsepower and torque.

lol not everything has to be unique. Whats unique is throwing that in a 1980 Firebird Formula. You don't see too many of those cars around anymore.

The engine is in the car, but as you can see from the Dyno video it is blowing through the converter; time to get it re-stalled!
