the 510/Zed ones do. Some earlier models dont though.
IMO door mirrors come off worse when they are knocked as they are fixed...

Is there two different types of folding mirrors on the D3? Im after buying a complete mirror for the drivers door only to find that the mirror folds upward as opposed to the original on the passenger side folding inward?

Also if their not spring loaded they arent legal... in case you hit a pedestrian i think... Not like it would make much difference.

Not a waste of time if you want to stay legal.

Manual fender mirrors are illegal. Reason is you cant adjust them from inside the car. Thats why electric ones are the go if they can be found.

I searched around for ages before submitting to the ebay fender mirrors. Mine arent that same model but close enough. Theyre actually reasonable quality luckily - there are a few different styles available on ebay. Finding decent quality genuine ones is going to be a nightmare - unless they specifically HAVE to be originals then I would just get the repro ones.

When did the become illegal and what year is your 260C?
People forget that not only Japanese cars had wing mirrors, some of my dads 60s fords have them stock as well as do plenty of other cars.
They would have been legal at some point without sprung bases and power motors.

Tossing up the idea to have fender mirrors.. what are the negative things about it e.g. constantly having to be adjusted, people touching them... etc etc

And what are the good things e.g. Classic look, individuality etc etc

Load shed? As in turns stuff off to save power? Yes it does.

Though the D3 heated mirrors are pretty good, cant remember if the mirrors are on a seperate fuse or not though.
