you don't need fancy workouts for huge lats as they are a very simple muscle, stick to what i told you and i will put money on it you will gain lats fast

the pause / pop at the top is very important, dont just pull, pull pull, it should be pull, pause, release, pop, pause, pull if that makes any sense

really squeeze those muscles when you pull down

    I don't understand the pop / pause?

when you are at the top of your rep, arms fully extended upwards, flare your lats out and hold it for a second or two, than pull down, hold it for a second, and repeat.

    a little more clear

+1 for bent-over rows.. all my workout partners throughout the years have hated them, but they work

ya they are indeed quite painful if done properly

I find it difficult to go heavy on bent over rows. Thats my only problem with them.

I am the exact opposite. It has always been pretty easy to go heavy for me. 80lb+ dumbbell.

For some reason my back has always been pretty strong, or stronger than my other muscles anyway.

db rows are a different monster than bb rows though.. i also can do 80+ with dbs without training up to it, yet i only bb row 185 (currently)

I love DB rows and BB rows, Espically when I flip my grip on BB rows. But it is tough to go heavy on bb rows.

Right right. reading back over it, it makes more sense.

I usually do bent over rows with palms facing out. Good, bad, or just different?

Palms facing away from you work more on your lower lats. A wide grip plus palms facing inward hits the upper lats.

when your at the top, your lats should be similar to the feeling of hanging from a pull up bar, than squeeze as you come back down into the rep
