yep i just started bent over rows based on the advice of my workout partner....pulldowns are another exercise where i can go as heavy as the big dudes and still maintain the good form you referred too
maybe ill look into nhl's exercises and try to work them in as well
I need more lats too, I am going to try your advice today Nuk.
Will report back![]()
+1 for bent-over rows.. all my workout partners throughout the years have hated them, but they work
ya they are indeed quite painful if done properly
I find it difficult to go heavy on bent over rows. Thats my only problem with them.
I am the exact opposite. It has always been pretty easy to go heavy for me. 80lb+ dumbbell.
For some reason my back has always been pretty strong, or stronger than my other muscles anyway.
db rows are a different monster than bb rows though.. i also can do 80+ with dbs without training up to it, yet i only bb row 185 (currently)
I love DB rows and BB rows, Espically when I flip my grip on BB rows. But it is tough to go heavy on bb rows.
ya dumbell rows ive always called single arm rows but its the same thing.....bent barbell is i believe what we were talkin about when nuklear said bent over rows
Right right. reading back over it, it makes more sense.
I usually do bent over rows with palms facing out. Good, bad, or just different?
Palms facing away from you work more on your lower lats. A wide grip plus palms facing inward hits the upper lats.
yea i tried it the other day and was a lot more sore then usual
Lets try to keep the thread to pics, if you guys need help with learning new exercises make some new threads about it please, Its annoying searching through posts upon posts to see progress pics.
