is there any way that u can positivily tell if u blew out your subs???I got a noise coming outa them i just wanna make for certain before i buy some new ones

There may be a burning smell, or a loud pop just before they blew. you could always go up to your local audio store and they could tell you.

^^^ I can attest to this.... I heard 2 loud pops thought i blew a tire and then realized it was the speakers....

look around the sealing part of the sub... under the little flap thing... feel around to see if any holes...
if there is even a small pin hole....
your fuckd or gonna be fuckd....

you should be able to tell if they are distorting or not through how much power you are putting thru them. if you've had them for awhile, you should know by now how loud they go before you reach you're distortion point. if they don't hit hard at all or just distort at minimal volume, you've probably blown a voice coil or something major.

When you turn the stereo up and the sub starts farting then you know there toast. My JL's did that and then someone stole them.
