anyone recommend an alpine deck with alpine speakers? my speakers are blown and need a good replacement without paying 300+ for a pair of speakers. i think Alpine makes great decks and stuff but do any of you agree? thanx

Personally I think that Alpine is the best, second best I think is Kenwood. Look into some Boston Acoustics Rally Series(RX67), about $149 a pair.

I have a few friends that work in the Circuit City Roadshop, and they won't have anything other than polk or alpine.

I think it depends on what you are looking for in speakers and head units. For clarity and high volume, I heard Boston Acoustics is darn good. Alpine, Pioneer, and Infinity are good ones too, but if you want just noise, maybe a few understandable words, get Xplod, they suck!

The 7995 doesn't have internal amp , though, right? It is a sweet deck, though, I mean most people will be pushing an external amp anyways.

I am very happy with my Pioneer 8400 , though. Plays mp3s/wma files/cds/xm radio. It has 2 faces, that shit is cool, but not much function, heh.

Go with a pioneer head unit and jbl gto speakers good clear sound and if your not wiring an external amp and just using the power coming from the head you will be good...
