Ok, Im looking to buy a gsxr 750, I have 4grand saved up and will have about six total in September. The thing is that i do not know anyone who has a street bike so i dont have anyone to ask about them. My first question is that i have heard you have to be 18 to get one is this true? If it is i'll just have to wait untill march, not really too big of a deal. I have also heard that if you pay for the bike in cash instead of putting a downpayment and paying on it monthly you do not need insurance? That sounds a little strange to me. Also how had is it to get used to riding a street bike, i have rode dirt bikes since i was 11, is it a big difference? Also, i have a alot of comon sense and am a cautious person so i dont feel like this bike is a bad choice for my first one.

don't have to get insurance if you pay cash for it? go pay cash for the bike and don't get insurance, and see who's gonna pay your medical bill when your in the hospital suffering from massive road burn

If they even sell these motorcycles in the usa, buy a Suzuki Hayabusa. I think thats what its called. Its very, very fast and i think is the best street bike ever created.

yes they sell busa's in the us. i have ridden one, brought it up to 192mph like nothing, now if you're even thinkin about buying this bike as a beginner, you'd better prepare a tombstone.

dont get a busa . gixer , I ,and whoever else are going to write something up about begginers and which bike they should get .
