Putting PS2 in my ride ?? [Archive]

Yes - believe it or not, I know I have a Volvo - but that's beside the point - I want to hookup the PS2 I'm getting today into my ride - I've checked on power converters and screens - I don't want to spend $1200 on a 6.5'' monitor - any suggestions? is this just a bad idea?

I like burnrice's setup - but who doesn't?

it's a good idea for road trips but it depends on how much you want to play with getting your car broken into. that stuff get expensive fast.

You can get an lcd on a gooseneck pretty cheap....

Converter around 80 bucks
LCD 6.5 gooseneck without tv tuner around 250 with brain
Installation another 200 or so including fm modulator...

All in all like 6 or 700 bucks for a decent setup.... Check ebay for some cheap lcds, you can even get some indash ones by pyle pretty cheap.

ebay is the way to go i think......but if you are decidin to or not it all depends if you want your passenger amused b/c you won't be playing it much.

I actually sold the volvo '86 740 GLE wagon ($900 :lol: )

I'll borrow my sister's camera and get some pics in my sig - it looks aight.

I wanted to sell the one i've got right now, but I'm learning a lot about it, and fixing it and stuff - I get stopped in parking lots all the time (at school and the parts store I go to) by ppl telling me they like the styling of it....

I don't think I'll put the ps2 in it for awhile... kinda pointless now that I think about it

I play between lights :) actually i found it quite useful last week at the track I had to wait 2 hours between runs..... got full use out of it...

i personally think its not worth it because you cant really play it .the passengers are the ones that are going to be playing it and its a lot of money.

bull shit u wont use it, get a DVD player and watch f&f! haha if you have a dvd player um.....you can use it all the time, put it in, you can watch in between lights, u can definately hear whats going on in the movie, get a quick glance now and then, and yeah passengers will get more use out of it, but what if you get in a traffic jam? the people who have it are gonna have fun and you arent! lol neways im out

exactly.... I have been watching Jay and silent Bob between lights and listening to it while driving lately...
