my rolla used to do that but it was my alternator going bad wasn't generating enough power. The tach would bob left to right real fast including the dimming. My head lights would dim, and the radio cuts on and off...i dunno the symptoms sounded familiar

yea man u need a capacitor (sp) it like stores power from the alternator (i think i hope im not wrong) but if u get one of these u should be ok, i would think you should get the 1.0 fard incase u want to keep on building your system . . hope i helped

most of the time a capacitor will help but it is not totally guaranteed. if you are moving a ton of wattage, the only sure-fire way of getting rid of dimming is an extra special made stereo battery in your trunk. since they are kinda pricey i would try the cap first.

you need a cap. and a proformance battery... and also you shold run a bigger power wire if you have over 1000 watts from the amp you should run at least 4-2 guage..
For an high current amp you defintely need to upgrade that power wire. .
Check all your grounds, and i reccommend you either buy a 200 amp altenator or get your exsiting one rewound. . .
The cap is good to, but it may or may not fix your delima. . . keep in mind that your Stiffining cap is charged by your battery. . so if your battery isnt receiving the correct charge. . .then your cap wont either. .. good luck bro

um. 0 gauge wire. cap. you should be fine. no need for a bigger alt. unless you are goin to get another amp. but on high current amps u should at least have 4 guage but i recomend 0

its too late, your alternator is fried, try this - turn ur car on, then remove the postive wire from ur batter, if ur car turns off u need a new altinator, if not just get a rockford or any cap thats cost like 150 or so
