I just got a job and my dad said he'd help me buy a motorcycle. I was wondering if anyone knows what is a nice bike that goes fast, looks good, but below $5000 (used of course) Rght now I'm looking at some ninjas. Thanks for your help.

97 and up Honda cbr's or ninja zx6r would put you in the range of 5 or below you just gotta look really carefully for them cuz sometimes even if you go to a dealer theyll stifle more numbers on that price tag when its only worth a certain amount.
250- are good beginners bikes esp if you are a small person, but if you are a tall person and have had previous riding experience then yeah a 600 would be better. Be careful out there

there's only a few nice used sportbikes for under $5000. cbrs, gixxers, and ninjas(though i don't like ninjas)... but if you want a bigger selection, since 2000, they came out with the a lot more sport bikes.

a friend of mine just got a 95(i think ) ninja zx-6 for 3 grand . its extremely clean and a great beginners bike
