Custom Interior

Hey all, I want to redo my interior on my del Sol, but I am not sure what to do. I have painted several objects, but paint doesn't really hold up very good so I want to redo it in some kind of fabric.
Ok, first off, has anyone done this and if so, could I get some helpful hints on what you used or what to do and such.
Also, what kind of fabric would work good and hold up and look nice.
