Hi I bought a Kenwood kdc-516s off of ebay not to long ago. I hooked it up and apparently it requires a 4 digit code to work. Is there a way I can reset it. I don't have the existing code and the guy I bought it from has not emailed me back on it.
Thanks for the help

nope, it must be zapped and the code erased. try your hardest to get the code, most shops around here charge anywhere from 25-100 bucks to zap one

I guess Ill go out side and just try random numbers or something. I hope the guy sends me the code. Chances are it was stolen before I got it. It didn't come with anything but the deck and faceplate only. I thought it would atleast come with the wire harness but I had to order one from someone else. But thanks Speedster I figure out something.

by the way some of the kenwoods have a reset combination of buttons that will reset it but to reset it you usualy need a proof of purchase and it's like $65 or more to reset it
