View Full Version : Quiet Exhaust?

A lot of people like loud exhaust but I don't, I don't want every cop in my small-azz town to write me up for "harsh and unnecessary noise" like they are threatening. I heard APEXI WS was a quiet one. Any of you know of a decent exhaust system that isn't too loud yet gives decent power? How much HP is taken away by a silencer?

Chech out Thermal or DC Sports. Both great exhausts and pretty quiet from what I have read.

see what i was thinking is, for a b16a or b18 w/turbo or nice n/a engine, you'd need a 2.5 or 3" exaust pipe right? well to quite it down, and still have adiquate air flow, couldent u just go dual exaust with 2 stock honda si exausts?

why????freakin dual exhausts   ....well wut ever floats ur boat...
if u want a quiet exhaust DC twin canister is quiet but with a nice ass tone... or do wut my fren did he has dual resinators wit a apexi n1 muffler and it is quiet as shit well until the vtec starts screaming and then it sounds fuckin sweet

RS*R (or the Skunk2, which is made by Invidia, which is really the US prescence of RS*R)

My friend has a thermal exhaust... I would definitely not qualify that as
a quiet exhaust. If quiets what you're looking for, look someplace else.

look at the twin canister system (DC Sports) or the twin pass (Muge) for quiet tones and high qaulity and gains.

Also, how quiet? I consider my Evo to be somewhat quiet, but no where near stock

get the DC tc, its frm DC, a well known name and great reputation, and from what i have read and seen its one of the more quiet exhausts on the market.

i have also heard the apexi world sport is a quiet exhaust. i'm looking at getting either that or the dc sports tcs for my car. i also want a quiet exhaust w/ good power gains, and i think both of those work that way.

my friend just installed the WS in his girls car, she seems to like it - says its quiet but not too quiet...

My friend has the mugen twin loop cat back on his 99 si and it is quiet but still has a good sound when you get up on it

I have the Thermal "Stealth" Exhaust System and it's perfect if your looking for a very deep sounding exhaust that is not to Loud! It's just right in terms of loudness.

Here's a pic . :)

The only time I get noticed with the Thermal Stealth is when I'm @ High RPM's .. Aww.. and it sounds soooooo niiice... especially with my CAI... MmmMmm... :P

doesn't the mugen twin loop only come in axel-back? But with the 99-00 si piping size wouldnt that work pretty good?

My friends jetta uses borla..not quite, but $1300 and extremely nice...a lot better than any exhaust i heard on any honda around here.

Get a Greddy. They are quiet as hell. I have a Greddy Evolution cat back and it's quiet as hell. Personally, I don't like it. I prefer loud.
