View Full Version : 1st gen talon BOV's
Basically i could find this stuff out myself but i wanted to know everyones opinions. What is a very loud, quality made blow off valve i can stick on my 1st gen? I know TurboXS makes a 101 db BOV on a 2nd gen which i was looking at, but i want some opinions. Thanks :)

The greddy type s is pretty loud but I am not sure if you will need a flange for that ?

Buahahah buy my turbo xs rfl for 150 dollars with the 1g adapter. It is the loudest blow off valve on the market hands down

tial sounds best and holds boost best too...turbo xs is great too and loud....stock one is plenty good though, and dont vert to atmosphere without VPC

greddy type s i think is the best and i do believe that u will need an adapter flange.

I have a TurboXS RFL...I love it! It makes my car run rich but it doesn't matter. I love sneezing on people and seeing their reaction.

I used to have an RFL, it really is fucking loud! 8) I sold it though because it would make my engine stumble(rich mixture) in between shifts and annoyed me. Plus it would either be too stiff and cause compressor pressure surge when I shifted at medium/low boost, or it would leak on the highway at part throttle and around 7psi.. I couldn't get it adjusted right.
The BOV on my car is a mitsubishi one(recirculating), so I just crushed it to make sure it doesn't bleed off any boost at high rpms and was done with it. I didn't really need to crush it though I think, since it will only bleed off air over 19psi and I don't run that much boost anyway..

I got the Turbo XS RFL and its crazy loud. I love the looks I get when I sneeze on people. They think my car is broke.
