How much could you build a 69 Camaro with an LS1 and 6spd for? I miss mine and have always said I would buy another one.

well lets see....69 camaro body and chassis in good shape about 5 grand..without anything fancy like cowl hood and whatnot...
then you are going to need the LS1..pickup a used 20k mile plus from the junkyard for about 4 grand plus the 6 speed about another 1500 plus all the new engine/trans mounts, and fabrication is probably another 2 grand or so, plus a lot more if you are using the vette rear with the tranny in it..but we wont use that in this example..you also need a wiring harness about another grand and ecu another 800 bux or so...and plus small other parts you always forget about and with a lot of doing it yourself time, it would probably cost around 20 grand or so..give or take depending on how nice you want it to be.

if you got a camaro for $5,000 it would be awful. the whole suspension and everything underneath would be in need of replacement i suggest buying one with no rust and partly the way you want it for 10-12,000 then putting your ls1 in it.
