Prestige alarm

I have a audiovox prestige aps995 2way pager alarm installed in my 6gen ex with window rollup and rolldown. My 2way pager is broken a new one cost 80 bucks so here is my dilemma.. the new version of my alarm is going for 139.00 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3016928974&category=14934 so could i just spend the extra cash for this alarm and swap the brain from my aps995 with the new aps996 and use the 2 new remote Transmitters to operate all of my existing features and relays (ie : remote start, windows up & down, trunk pop)

so is this simple swap of brains possible while retaining my existing features without having the alarm pulled out and reinstalled again.
my reason for asking is i think i can change the brain myself but i cant redo the alarm without taking it to a shop and ive already given the damn shop like 500...... any and all help would be greatly appreciated

wish i had an answer man. . alarms arent my strong category though. . . did you try contacting an authorized dealer and see what they had to say about it?

i dont know alot about alarms but when i was buying mine. i was thinking of goin with a cheaper one then upgrading but decided to go all out. they said all i would have to do was switch the brains and that would be all. im not sure on yours but i think thats all you would have to do. by the way mines a viper.

i dont think audiovox has changed the wiring harnesses between those 2 brains.
should just be a remove, and plug in job.
