I was thinking about getting a 98-02 Accord V6, and since they only come in automatic, I was wondering if it would be better to go with a Supercharger or a Turbocharger for it. I'm afraid that the electronic clutch would mess with the turbo, so I'm not sure. Any thoughts? I know someone out there has some!

Definately a turbo.

Supercharger is belt driven, and you will have more problems with having to fix it if it breaks.

Normally, the only problems you have with the turbo sometimes is the housing. But, look at the S/S Preludes they have Turbos made for them, so I dont think there is a problem with the electronic clutch u speak of.

But, thats just my $.02

just wait for an 03 Accord. New generation. And will still look new 5 years from now.

Comptech has a SC for the accord v6 in the works and HKS offers or did offer a turbo. Both are held back from their true potential because of the tranny. Level 10 offers quality upgrade components. If I had a V6 I would go with a custom turbo and some big time tranny upgrades.

My first car was a Auto, and it had a Turbo in it, (it was one of thouse 15 second Turbo Mini-vans) and I burned throu 3 Trannies in 4 years. I'm not so sure if a supercharger would kill a tranny but I KNOW a turbo will, you could build up the tranny to handle the stress but why waste the money? just learn how to drive a stick if you want some FI. I could be wrong but I thought that the 2dr Accord V6s came in manual. but if you really want honda v6 power get the new CL type-s it come with a 6-speed

All Accord V6s come only in Automatic, and I would buy an Acura CL Type-S w/ 6-Speed, but I don't have $31,000 to spend, I have about $19,000, and since my dad sells Hondas, I get a good deal on them.

the only reason my next car will be RSX-S instead of Accord is because of the manny transmission. Hopefully the Type R accord won't be expensive and then I could get taht

There is no Type R accord here in the states and there wont be in the near future either. Everyone is very curious to see what the 7th gen accord is like, but there wont a be Type R.

They are still not sure yet. I talked with some people at Honda UK and they said that Honda is still deciding wether or not to build up another performance Sedan since the current Accord Type-R will go out of production at the end of this year. If they do build one, it will come Stateside.

I hope they do cuz they have Integra(RSX) Type R and not sure but I think the type R is a sedan. So there would be no need for Accord

jackson is working on a SC for the accord and it will be pretty damn awesome...
comptech has a SC that will boost u to 230hp w/ minor mods >> quarter in 14.7...
id just wait for the 03 accord
but turbo is a better option for more power but ur gonna have to find a near perfect fit or go custom for best results....

What will the '03 Accord matter if the 2003 Accord EX-VL keeps the same engine? Won't the Supercharger work in both if it keeps the same J30A1 Engine? Just wondering

newer doesn't always mean more money.

Better condition = more money in some conditions.
