If someone does has a pc and some extra bandwidth they don't need, I'd be happy to tell you how to do it, and then you can install some cool plugins too  (so we can kick/ban ricers  )

If someone wants to send me a Mini PC you know the real small ones like 1/2 of the size of a computer with 1 gig of ram and 5 gig harddrive, i can load XP and Get a Server Runing at it, Like i said i got a T1 at work in Union City and it would be the only things on it, But it might not ping well in NY maby around 200, But i would get 30 so it would be the pimp shit

bah i knew someone running a 15-20 person server off a laptop. its all on how you configure it, and Linux. Linux is the way to go for CS server

yah, linux is a lot better platform to hold a server. Its stable and suppoidly a lot less bugs.

yup... you could basically run adminmod and keep the computer at a remote place and never have to worry about that shit crashing.

I'm up for a game of CS any time, anywhere. BTW, do any of you know somewhere good to download the 1.3-1.4 patch? I tried never-enough-bandwith-planet...I mean fileplanet, but "the servers are too busy" for me to start a download.

if you join fileplanet at like 3am (your time) then you will find that the queues are almost non existant. its lucky for me because thats 4pm over here.

I'll be installing Linux soon ( i think ) so i could probably have a server up partially and with 1.2ghz and 1.2gb of ram it would run pretty smooth, and my friend was hosting a 16 player server with the same connection as mine (250/47) and pings were around 150, so it's not that bad i guess.
