Can anyone point me to a how-to on clearing my tail lights, I would like to try and clear them than spending the $$ for the clear and red ones.

Well, I found the exact site you are looking for, but unfortunately I'm not sure of the address. Do a search on google.

But here is basically what it said. Take a hot soldering iron, and draw an X on the inside of the lens with it. (on the amber part) Then like melt/crack out the amber, and the light should have a clear lens left. I'm going to try it soon, but I have to get up the guts to maybe screw something up first.

When you find out how much they're going to cost, just add up all those tickets you're going to get with em also since they're illegal, sure hope its for your show car and not your daily driver...

Ughhhhh the ALL clear ones are illegal depending how hard they are to see through my friend used to have them. And the clear and red tailights your talking about come on the 99 and maybe the (2000) ex's and si's, i know because i have a 99 ex.

Yea i'm trying to clear out just the amber part, i'd assume it would be at least a little cheaper than buying the tails.

ohhh and the link didn't work sorry...

if the 2000's are when they first started making those immitation si hubs and also started giving them the rounded back then those tailights have the top part red and the bottom part yellow, not red and clear.

My OO ex is red and clear and came that way from the Factory OEM.

its' only illegal i think if you dont have any red on the light..as long as it has red then i think your still all set..

To that guy that said he thinks the 00's have amber in the tails..... no. I'm in a Honda Automotive course of study in college. I have to know everything about these cars. Including how to tell what year each is, without knowing. ALL 00 models have red/clear tails. Even DX's. Trust me. I know my shit, and I wouldn't lie to you.

Hey I've heard about people having all clear tailights and them not being Dept. of Trans. Approved.

Then they get hit from behind, then the person at fault (w/ a decent lawyer) actually can sue them.
