dude, I know how you feel, I want a bike sooooooooo bad, I currently have the Yamaha R6 as my background, haha, I think I'd prefer the R1 though, why didnt you try out any 1000 cc?
You should check out the Honda CBR, either the 600 or 954, also check out the RC51...yeah....those are nice....

haha i already took a CBR 600f4i out haha and it still didnt help me all 3 are awesome bikes damnit haha
the reason im not getting a 1000cc bike is simply because im not a big guy and i dont have a lot of expericance on these crotch rockets :bigwink: so the 1000cc is out of the question for me at the moment just to darn big the 600cc class will be fine for me

A friend of a friend bought a brand new R1 as his first bike , he was about 25-30 years old , big guy, id say 220lbs . To make a long story short , he got a little to over confident soon after purchasing the bike and wrecked it with a chick on the back :nodno:

When buying a 600 don't look for speed really. The CBR, R6, and the GSX-R are all about the same speed wise. Granted maybe one is a little faster than the other. Nothing a stage 3 jet kit with k&N individual pod filters couldn't take care of.
When you sit/ride those bikes...take into heavy consideration how comfortable it is. If it were up to me..if the "slowest" 600 was the most confortable i'd def take that one. Look also at the riding stance. My friend has a CBR and I feel more stretched than the GSX-R.
Believe, take comfortability into consideration. Your back will thank you in the long run.

go test drive a 6R, Ninja's might not be the most pouler bikes but their in no means whatsoever worse than any of the others, dont underestimate them

I guess no one here realizes Kawasaki makes sportbikes http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid31/p9c8d571cf44d3ab0e3e1a9dc5a413203/fd4b1910.gif

i dunno man it just didnt feel the same to me as the other 3 i mean at the 600 level they are all pretty much the same performance wise unless you are really going at it like on a track but the kawasaki just felt different i dunno why just different haha :roll_eye:

it doesnt matter if it is the best bike ever made, he didnt like it, he didnt feel comfortable on it, and thats all that really matters at this point, because its his first bike, hes not gonna be able to push the limits of that bike, or even come close to pushing them, but, he can have so much fun and be comfortable on it as well if he picks the bike that isnt the best in the world (according to someone else)

hey exactly man.. thats what i ment by "not feeling the same" like it just didnt feel like my body was in the right position it was just different then the other 3. also slow i think it was u who said your friend had a cbr and you felt strectched out compared to the gsx. i also felt like that but not enough to make me feel uncomfortable  and you are right im not looking for a hella fast bike im really looking for a forgiving bike one that isnt gonna through me off the bike comming outta a corner at any kinda speed... i mean just one that doesnt need u to have 3 years of experiance to ride safeley.. and comfort is a huge ++ :bigwink:
You two should hook up , youd make a cute couple !

well im not trying to force it on you althou i could try if i wanted to, the kawi's are always rated the most confirtable and they have one of the best handeling abilitys in the lower displacement, only problem with them is the choppy throttle responce, when you let off the throttle a little...... well your little is a fuckin lot, ive had alot of times i let off the throttle to get the front down a little bit in a wheelie and SLAM the front end comes crashing back to earth because i cant recover the gravitational force of the front end, not saying its unstable or anything, its just geared alot more tword racing and keeping the front end down
