My 97 Honda Accord stopped on the highway!!! The tow guy said that it looks as if a belt had torn. What belt could make the car stop????:(

Probably the exhaust fan belt, it's a common thing.

no way it was that, it had to be the wheel bearing belt...since it stopped moving!

go to your local Autozone or similar store and ask them for your VTEC belt. It snaps sometimes when your engine's VTEC has been working too hard.

97 in particular had a very big issue with VTEC belts snapping because of how hard these cars popped VTEC. The belts were obviously undersized for their application.
