I've saved up around 6,000 dollars. What is the fastest bike I can buy for that price? Preferably 1992+. Thanx :yelcool:

it all depends on the style of bike you like
cruiser, street bike, tourer, sport........?

if your still checking this, it all depends man. How much riding experience do you have? Cuz if its your first bike, hopping on a Gsx-1000R or something will get you killed... fast. I'd suggest a 200-500cc engine, since you need to learn how to control power. R1's and high performance bikes are for veterans, and you might want to check out the Kawasaki Ninja 500R or 200. Those are excellent first-bikes. peace

I've been riding dirtbikes forever...I just want the fastest bike I can get for my money. I was kinda thinking a Honda CBR or somthing like that.

CBR is a good choice, i'd recommend a 600 for your first bike then move up to a 929

The fastest bike you can buy is a 600 with a 500 hp shot of nos. :uhoh: What do you mean the fastest bike? Fastest on a track? Fastest street light to street light? Fastest quarter mile? Fastest to put your novice ass in the hospital? It comes down to your experience, not the bike a lot of the time. Look at the 1/4 mile times for the newest 1000's vs the 600's. They aren't that different... A good rider on a 1000 could smoke an ok rider on a 1000. Look at the market of bikes in your area and know what you are getting into.
