Get a 2K loan and get a GSXR600 or 750, REALLY nice bikes, if your younger and lighter, get a 600. Really sport bikes, really sharp. If you want a real head turner get the GSXR600 thats done up like the Movistar Telefonica race bikes

I weight about 170- 175 is that alright for a 600, also how fast will a GSXR600 run in the 1/4.

I dont think getting a new 600cc sport bike with no motorcycle experience would be a good idea . Chances are , you will drop it . I would at least try out some smaller bikes first , or get an older 600 . A friend of a friend recently went out and bought a brand new R1 , though he was a big guy , he had no riding experience . He ended up wrecking it(id say about a week after he got it ) with a girl on the back , and now she is fileing a lawsuit against him . Look around in this forum and there should be some advice on begginer bikes

Hey... if your that young, you have a long life ahead of you...you want to live and enjoy it. Don't go and buy a high-performance bike right off the bat; chances are, your going to mess it up or its going to mess up you. I'd suggest getting a small engine, anywhere from 200cc-500cc. Unexperienced riders on these 10 second bikes tend to push themselves too hard. Not to scare you, but there are three types of riders: the one's who have already fallen, the one's who will fall, and the ones who keep falling. A great way to start out is riding on a dual sport; these help you a lot on street riding since you learn how to avoid debris and objects on the road. good luck

That's exactly what I did.

I went out and bought a used 1999 ninja 250. good bike..easy to ride and forgiving.

However i gotta sell mine. Let me know if you are interested.

Get a 250cc dirtbike for beginners, its help you get the feel of a real bike, and its a lot lighter and easier to manuvere
