cheap amps? are they good?

this website sells shit really cheap, i emailed them and they said that is in the factory box and never opened. is it cheap because of the brands? and do those brands suck, besides kenwood and audiobahn (there good)? or is this just wholesale prices on not name brand stuff. and what about legacy amps. anyone know anything about them?

depends on what your looking for. well yah they might beable to produce the wattage they claim, and they will power your amp, but the kind of power they produce isnt as clean as better brand names like ppi, mtx, etc. cleaning power = cleaning sounding system/overall better
so its like a glass of well water for 20 cents or a glass of bottle water for a dollar. which is both paying for, its water either way.

think of it this way, this is what most of the experts say. for the most part, the more money you spend on a piece of audio equipment the better quality it will be. cheap shit = cheap sound.

just cause a amp says 700 watts or whatevr doesnt mean that ur gonna get 700 watts out of that amp.....like if you buy a legacy amp that says 500 watts and a mmats class d amp that says 500 watts...ur gonna get 500 watts from the mmats amo cuase its better quality and therefore liek ual is mroe expensive...u will probably get about 350 or so form the legacy..u get what u pay for

i had this mtx amp, it was rated around 350 watts, but i had it tested and it was actually 415 watts. just goes to show, you always get more when you buy a better brand.

Audiobahn in my opinion is one of the best amps on the market right along with there subs!

if you are gonna go cheap i suggest that you buy a mid class amp like hiphonics.... there not the best but they are well made and last... also its not always true about the more u spend the better becouse think of RF... there subs kick ass and shit but there amps for a while tended to blow a channel... u sed to work at a car audio store and ive been installing for a long time.... now the seemed to fix the prob but it all depends on what u want... bang for your buck...... or being able to hear your music without any shity sound...

copmpanies like thump(for example) are super cheap and shit. if you buy a 300 watt amp your prob puttin out about 20 clean watts. they way they come up with that 300 number is the hook it and crank the shit out of it and they measure all this noise that comes out instread of teh actual clean sound wattage you'll be using. u can tell just by looking at them, the size and weight. you get what u pay for. so are cheap amps good ? no they are cheap.

in my experience cheap amps suck they get to hot they cant produce the amount of watts that they say they can id rather spend the extra money on something like an amp.
