Got an 87 crx DX block... wanted to know if i could bore it one more mm and use the 88-91 (D16a6) Si stock? It would make it have the 88-91 DX boer and the 88-91 SI stroke on a pre 88 block... is it possible?

So you want to bore the dx block and use the Si (88-91) pistons? If that is the question then yes, but I would have a well known machine shop do the bore and install the pistons with new rings. And if you want to use the Si stroke (rods) Just go to summitracing .com or eagle and find out the max stroke rods they offer and if the si's fit within the perameter then you can use them. If you give me a day or so I can look in the book and pull specs for you.

Well, let me add another thing, i want to use the 88-91 Si crank as well, that stroke would be pointless in a DX block if i cant use the crank.

your current deck is to short. The a6 has a longer stroke then your current motor and you will get piston-valve contact.

Well i mean i know the rods are going to be differant. i can always find shorter rods... but with a D16a6 crank fit into my DX block? What kind of output do you think could be aquired?
