im buying my friends 90 crx si he drove through a puddle and sucked up alot of water into the engine with his CAI and im wondering what would be a good swap and a cheap one i want something with power tho im looking at a b16a what would it take to swap it and where could i get a good one for cheap

if you want power, you shouldn't look at a b16. nevertheless a crx. If the crx is the definite course you want to take, then invest in at least a b18c or b18b if you want to make some power by boosting it. But civics and civic engines are all slow.

you're on crack. civics have every bit the potential other hondas do. i do agree with the b18 motor though. look for a full swap on www.osakajdmmotors.com or www.hmotorsonline.com

lol, ya i'm not saying they don't have potential, just stating that for every starting civic platform, there is another better honda platform out there. D series is nothing worth swapping and the B16 is less desirable than a B18, which in turn is less desirable than a K20/K24.

Know what i mean?

i understand completely. but... for the starting price of a civic or crx, you can do anything you want to them and still come in under the starting price of a newer integra or prelude or whatever.
