whats wrong

i have an (177860mi)well up kept auto tranny 95 ls integra with a i/h/e/im (with nitrous) and i my cousin have a 94 civic dx 5speed with and exhaust system the thing i want to know is why is it when we race i just barley beat him i know i have a auto tranny but my car should naturally faster than his so beside it being an auto tranny what is my problem

I'd venture to say either he's not telling u everything he's got, or you've got something wrong wit ur car, or he's a better driver. Not hatin but damn that acura should hella quick on that civic.

trust me i looked under the hood of the car ever since he had it and even changed the oil of his civic before we have raced so he doesnt have any extras it pretty much all stock 5speed civic . i was thinking could it be something wrong with my valves springs or something

so he has a single cam, and you have an ls on notrous and your just barely beating him? I would venture to say that your car is not running correctly. you should easily have a few lenghts on him. Id just start checking all the basics on your car first, plugs, wires, cyl. pressure, etc... make sure everything with your car is on the up and up. if you can only barly beat him on juice then there is somthing wrong.

Also are you coming out of the hole on gas or are you on it once you start moving? Do you get much tire spin? How big of a shot are you using?

dry 30 shot of nitrous and i come out on gas. but it seems like my car runs just fine i dont feel nothing wrong with it

you may want to wait till you are in the upper rpms in 2nd to hit the gas, with that little amount, you may be losing power to the torque converter spool up or any tire spin

yeah, like i said go through the basic motions of tune ups first then look at more damaging things.
