alright. i have a pioneer headunit in my car, 45x4 channels. i'm gonna sell that to my friend and buy a new alpine, which is gonna be 60x4. i'm runnin my stock speakers at the moment, and i actually gonna be able to hear the difference? tomorrow my mtx 425 watt amp, 1 farad cap and ten inch polk momo sub are goin in. not going to be able to put any speaker and amp setups in yet due to lack of funds. i could do it but i'm getting ready to go back to school and need the beer money. anyway, thats beside the point, will i be able to hear a difference w/ the extra 15 watts of peak power and extra 7 watts of rms power?

u will hear a little difference in the speakers b/c your head unit is a little stronger but u have to change ur battery or alternator b/c all those electronics in ur car are going to be pushing a lot of juice out of them. if u wanna learn more about it, go to caraudiomag.com and click on the article that says u got juice? it explains about that whole concept. also w/o having speakers hooked up to an amp just ur woofer ur going to have more bass than vocals. :bigwink:

You wont have to do any such thing. Exspecially the alternator. The battery? yes only if you want really loud like if your planing on entering in compititions and stuff.

You probebly wont notice much aof a difference, and what your running will not kill your bat and alt, my buddy had two 15" and probebly close to 1500Watts of power in his SI. If your looking for a better sound for your speakers buy a 200 watt amp and you will really notice a difference, the power if crossedover right will sound cleaner and will not distort. The power of the amp, or deck does not ruin the speakers, its the distortion and how loud you turn it up.
