i currently have a 92 civic cx with a d15b8. in my garage a have a d16y7 just sittin there. is it possible to put the d16 head on the d15 block i know i'll have to do timing again but i could use a little more power . an upgrade from 8 valves to 16 should make a slight difference. or atleast pull off the intake manifold off the d16 and throw it on the d15 head. has any one done this b4. i would upgrade motors but im short on cash right now.

possible yes. you'll have to swap out the sensors and more than likely intake manifold on the y8 head with those from your motor, because of obd issues. hope this clears things up a bit. if you need any more help, don't be afraid to ask.

I got the same setup right now. d16y7 on d15b8 block. Which cam gear do i use and timing belt???? the y7 seems to be 39 teeth and the stock b8 42 teeth (cam gear) and the timing belt seems too big now with the y7 head on the b15b8 block. Any body have these same problems?? Any help would be great this has been holding me up.. Thankxx
