i'm looking to get my first bike...now most people are telling me that i shouldnt get something newercause ill probably dump it..i dont think i ll dump it at all..so just wanted too see what you rhtoughts were on what make model year i should go with all criticisms encouraged

Trust me on this, get something cheap and a little older, that way you don't have to much invested when you do drop it, and you will. Plus you are going to want some a little smaller to learn on, don't go getting yourself a 1300cc hyabusa or an R1 and think you are going to be able to handle it.

no i wasn t planning on getting anything over 600....but i seriously dont think ill drop it man.....like gixxxer he never dropped his bike....and im gonna need something reliable caus ei ts gonna be my only mode of tranportation right up until october

nobody thinks theyll drop it. buy what you feel most comfortable on. almost anything jap within the last 10 years you cant go wrong with. so go based on looks and fit, and what shape its in. and get frame protectors

o i know i ll drop it....i just mean in the first 8 months cause i dont wanna fuck it up before i get a winter vehicle. but yah i was thinkin either a hond cbr 6 or r6 like 97-01

frame protectors? reinforce the frame so it dont break when i drop it?

properly designed ones should be long enough so that if the bike tips over it will fall on that and not any plastic

if you want to be safe for dropping. just get a cage.

thats only with a few cages. the big bulky ones. mxd, powers, 905. if and when i get a cage, im getting a freestyle ingenuity.
