Quad or dirtbike

Hey guys, im just wondering which u prefer- A quad or a Dirtbike. I think each has its good and bads but i would rather have a dirt bike.

i have written both .the motorcycle was fun but i like atvs better. i like going though mud and shit :D

u can go thru mud with a dirtbike.
I have been thru some muddy ass shit, and plus a bike can go 10 times more places a furwheeler can.

yeah, dirtbike is more fun alone, but its all about atvs in a group. all your friends can just jump on the back and no ones gonna get hurt unless youre a total moron.

it is all about preference.. i like dirtbikes.. they have awesome speed.. and they are fun as hell.. the bad thing about quads is that they flip easy and if you are caught underneath you are screwed.. but on a bike you can alwayz ditch it.. Unless you are buying some mean ass machine like a Raptor.. i would go with a dirtbike!

i would go with a quad there alot more stable can slide alot better can do wicked dough nuts can ride wheelies and not fall off and kill your self dont have to worry about as much mud or wet grass slidding out and falling off 4 wheelrs you can ride more people four wheelrs can go down a creek or river alot better than riding a dirt bike you couldnt other wise your feet would be so soaked fourwheelrs you can turn alot faster im glad i got a new fourwheelers rather that dirtbiek

I have ridden both, and if money wasnt a problem I'd own both. Since I couldnt decide between them, and two of my friends where getting quads, I got a quad. That way it would be easier to ride with them. I also chose the best quad money can buy, The Raptor

AtV, b/c more stability and alot safer and also has many more abilitys than a dirt bike...ex.1) you come to a small 3 foot deep stream would you rather be on a dirt bike or a ATV???

More stability eh? In other words you like ATV's cause you don know how to ride a bike. Certain ATV's are fun, Raptors, Warriors, EX's, to name a few but most people who are good at riding bikes will choose that anyday, and driving through 3 feet of water is easier on a bike because of the higher clearance and bigger tires.

They had a problem with that in '01, and fixed it for '02.
'03's are even better so they should be ok. The only thing I dont like is the rev limiter on reverse, but I only back into the little shed I keep it in so it doesnt really matter.

I know how to ride a motorcycle.
Never ride drunk, and I would still take my raptor over any dirtbike that is out right now.

I went riding with my two friends that also have Raptors, a kid with a Blaster and a kid with a YZ 125. Guess who got stuck in more mud and water holes.
The 125.
The Raptors took everything we could throw at them. Rolled down a hill, started right up. Kid stalled in a puddle almost up to the handle bars, started it right up and drove it right out.
After that trip I have much more confidence in Yamaha's engineering with that machine.

Oh yeah, I also wasted a kid on a Suzuki Z400 through a whoops section leading back to the trails.

I rode my friends yz 125 at his house the other day.

Just made me realize even more that my choice of the Raptor of a dirtbike was the right one.
