hey, anyone know anything about the new kenwood double din dvd players, i'm thinking of getting one......

as for amps/subs etc. .
Whats your budget? How much room do you have for the subwoofer enclosure?
do you want a SQ setup (basically something not excessively loud, clearity and response is the biggest factor) or SPL (Pure bass, loud, lets shake some windows) or SQL (a balance of both SQ and SPL - basically something that plays loud, but sounds decent as well)
what music do you listen to the most?
what kind of vehicle will this be going in?
all of these are things that needs to be answered to help you get in the right direction

budget...hmmmm....well i just forked out 850 for the head unit and 150 for the keg...i'm willing to blow the budget to get what i want. i want something that sounds very good but is pretty loud. its going in my 93 prelude, not a ton of space but all of the space except the front seats is available to use, and i might be willing to compromise the passenger seat as well.....hahahahahaha. as for what music i really truly listen to everything at the moment rob zombie is feeling nice, but i'm a reggae girl at heart. hope this helps....
I would suggest a pair of 10 or 12" RE SE's

basically, find a sub that you think you will be interested in, and we can help choose the amp and stuff

I'M GOING TO GET IT INSTALLED NOW....WISH ME LUCK!! ALSO I'VE GONE WITH A 2 CHANNEL KENWOOD 1200 WATT AMP FOR THE SUBS AND AN 4 CHANNEL 800WATT FOR THE REST OF THE SPEAKERS. AND THE SUBS ARE 2 12'S IN SOME SORT OF FANCY BOX...HAHAHA I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING. I THINK THE BRAND IS BOSS-I DIDN'T PAY FOR THEM THE SILLY BOY AT THE STORE DID---HEHEHE! ANYWAY THEY ARE TEMPORARY UNTIL I FIND ONE I LIKE--THEY ARE 500WATTS EACH-DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE? LET ME KNOW

Also, have you considered a DVC (dual voice coil) 12" sub in a ported box, this is going in a trunk anyway.
