I'm going to get my first car soon. I was wonder what Sport Coupe's are easiest to mod? It needs to be like under 5000 for the car.

Depends on what you mean by 'easy to mod'. Are you talking about cheap performance mods, expensive perf, cheap rice, or expensive rice.

If you want to go all out performance, go with what seano869 said.

3rd gen camaros are in your price range and just about anything goes with those, of course you could get a used cop car perferably a chevy caprice 94-96 for 1.5-6k depending on milage and conditon and clone it to a impalla ss for about 2k-3k or leave cosmetics as is and get some mods for that LT-1 itd come with

I-ROC or 5.0 is what you want. :D

a 5.0 is your best bet. Very cheap and easy to mod.
If you get an import, dont expect to get alot out of it with that money.

get a nice mustang 87-93

07-11-2002, 11:48 PM
5.0's are cheap to mod Irocs Are fast to start with. And Imports cost money out the ass unless u find a car that someone already started to do stuff on and is getting rid of it because he got something nicer.

Or if possible find A 84-87 Buick Grand national or regal t-type. For under 5 grand there is no care with as much power and plus they are rare and have a good re-sell value.

its hard to find them for under 5k if they are that low there are issues, high milage worn turbo, body rot ect. there def hot tho i see most nice grand nationals for about 10k

07-12-2002, 09:44 AM
10-12 for the grand national. 5-8 for the t type wich has the cool silver paint job. And thats a sleeper car half these ricers dont know what the t type is they think its just someone in the grandfathers regal. But when you kill them in a race they find out prtty quick what kind of performance they have.

i hear ya on that one people think my caprice is a granpa mobile until they get dusted, although its not as fast as the grand national it holds its own.

07-12-2002, 09:53 AM

07-12-2002, 10:11 AM
LOl yea I hear ya Im only 17 its a bitch man. The gears are cool and the cam is to but they are both a bitch to install if you dont know what your doing.

07-12-2002, 10:30 AM
i dont think i'll end up going for cam but gears, its even harder when your on your back under the car without a lift, but ima givin it a shot probly. ya gotta learn sooner or later.
